Pull it back with a clip and just style the areas around your face. If you have a regular hair dresser that knows your hair and understands that you are trying to grow it out, ask them for tips and advice. I have long, think, naturally curly hair and I use VO5 mouse for curls, dry it just a bit and pull it back with a bit of bangs. When you are trying to grow out your hair there is always a time frame it drives you nuts, unfortunately all you can do is deal with it!

well, this might help. when you wash your hair and your ready to go to bed, put your hair in braids. a bunch of them not small but not too big. in the morning take them out and dont brush your hair! you will get that crimped look. its so cute! but only works for white people.

There are some neat sponge roller type things that you can sleep on. They have a sponge in the middle and the two cloth ends tie. This works really great and works for most people.

Hey!

If you hate straighting because it takes too much time before school you can use a iron called WET 2 STRAIGHT by remington. It straightens wet hair!

I have similar hair. I wash it in the morning and comb it ONLY while the conditioner is on ( TIP: comb your hair as you would like it to look when dry). I don't usually rinse off all the conditioner but be aware that this leaves a lot of residue. Then I wrap a towel around my hair for about 10 minutes to absorb all the excess water, while I do other things.

By the time I'm ready to leave home I put a bit more of conditioner then mousse, this order is important so you hair doesn't dry up by the alcohol in mousses or gels. Only style with your fingers at this stage, anything else will make it puffier. For shaping shapeless curls wrap the strand around your finger a few time, as if you were palying with it. If the strand is dry, wet it and add more conditioner.

Hope this is helpful. It works for me anyway!

i would suggest to get it cut and ask them to layer only not layer to only give it definition but also to thin it out. youll still have the cute look but its thinner and not so poofy.
