u can try rebonding ur hair.....it actually a type of hair straigtening...my hair condition is somewhat similar to yours and i been rebonding my hair 4 many times already...the result of ur hair will be straight and doesn't look so thick....

For the best, go to the hair stylist and make ur hair look thinner and buy hair pack and do once a week...

i have the exact same problem, so i went to my hairdresser, and he straightened my hair some canadian way. he said it was called a "relaxor". it works REALLY well, and it lasts for about a year to a year and a half. or, just get a straightener and very carefully straigten your hair, but be careful when it comes to the ends of your hair. If you really dont feel like spending time on any of that, you can always throw ur hair up then curl it, or two cute braids could help.
