I have very thick hair and....?
My hair use to get like that too and I have very thick hair I bought a good flat iron the SOLIA and that helped. To help with the fizzy dried look I bought Paul Michell Super Skinny serum for when I blow dry it makes your hair soft, shiny and frizz free Before I iron it I put CHI Silk Infusion in my hair it makes my hair ultra sleek and shiny. Also get a very good conditioner like Pantene,Hope This Helps Good LUck

I totally know what you mean. I have that exact same problem. Try spraying your hair before you iron it. They make special pre-ironing sprays for frizzy-haired girls like you and me. After you iron it, use some more spray.
Also, blow-drying it (even if it's already dry, which it should be before you straighten it!), before you iron it really helps.
Frizz Ease by John Frieda really helps. I've used it for like the past 3 years, and it works great!: http://www.johnfrieda.com/products/produ...
Aussie is great as well!: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

when you blow dry it use frizz treatment. when your done, go over your hair once more on the cool setting(or whatever the lowest temperature is) and it will cut down on the frizz factor =]

yah that can happen; try geting an intense conditioner at a salon or something, and then straighten afterwards. straightening actually makes thick hair look frizzier and even more fried, ive noticd

Have you used a ceramic straightening iron? Use it after blowing out your hair- it makes a much smoother shinier finish than blow drying alone. "Chi" brand works great. They're on the more expensive side, but you'll love the results and never look back.

First I would get a moisterizing shampoo and conditioner or a hot oil treatment to make your hair healthy then I would get the ends cut off because straighening hair can greatly increase split ends. I would then first blow dry my hair then straighten it use a hair spray after you starighten it to keep your hair frizz free. A helpful hint- don't starighten your hair that much maybe 2 times a week tops for all the other times find a cute way to wear your hair how it is naturally

I'd try a sleek and shine straightener

i have horrible, thick, frizzy hair too, and i found that the best solution was chemical straightening. i do it every 5-6 months and it costs about 200$ every time.
if you don't have enough money to do that, invest in a really good flat iron from a reputable salon. it will probably cost around 150-200$.
before you straighten it, use a silicon-based serum to protect your hair from further damage.
make sure you use salon quality shampoo and conditioner every time you shower, and deep condition it once a week (but no more than that, because high-protein hair treatments can cause breakage if used too frequently).
