well i thin my hair myself and i use a razor. it looks professionally done. If you don't know how to do it then go to a hair dresser.

Well, I know I don't have perfect hair or anything. I damge it way to much, but i try to keep it healthy. I, too, have really thick and wavy hair, but it's a pain to keep up. It's also right past my shoulders, it's the worst cut ever, but I try to work with it. I have a lot of layers in my hair, and I recently got it thinned out a couple months ago. Not only did the hairdresser tell me it would thin it out, but she told me it would prob look healthier. Total opposite happened. My hair started breaking alot quicker. I even stopped using so much heat appliances each day, and my hair is still breaking. She razored the ends of my hair and they're just awful now. I got it trimmed not too long ago, and it's just now starting to come back a little healthier. Stuff happens!

Of course the price depends on where you go but it should cost the name as a normal cut and stuff.

Try having lots of layers, that thins mine out great, and then when you fancy a change, just straighten it and the layers will still look fab. ^_^

More than likely the same as a regular hair cut, maybe you can find a stylist willing to cut you a break, but more times than not its all the same. Also, someone mentioned not using razors. They're right, its good for a one time deal. Otherwise it just rips at your hair makes it appear damaged.

Hi i have thick hair and i used to get mine thinned when i got a trim so it would cost about the same as a hair cut becuase they do it at the same time. But it depends on how thin you want it. You can always get layers put in this will make it thin and grow quicker also. You can buy thinning scissors from superdrug and so it your self. But i would get it done the first time at the hairdressers first so you can see what they do.

i do it myself...you can get a pair of thinning scissors for about 鎷? and u can snip just about anywhere...it looks no different from the untrained eye but is alot thinner and cheaper
