Ceramic is better than everything else trust me~! O___o;
I know this girl and she had some random flat iron.. her hair was straight, yeah.. but a little messy... needed brushing, frizzy.

Ceramic.
It doesn't damage you hair. Metal will burn it until you have no ends left. Maybe not the first time....but repeated useage will!

Metal tongs are the worse! Ceramic is okay but I have thick hair and I use the Wigo Jade Hair Straightener. The plates are Jade and are sooo great! They're a little pricey though. Try looking for it on eBay! It's the best straightener ever, I've never had a product that has left my hair so silky and straight as this one!

Even though its much more expensive, ceramic is a great investment for thick curly hair to go straight. I've had mine for 3 years, and it deffinitely beats my old metal hair straigtener.
