Straighten thick hair and make it look good?

I straighten it the night before but when i wake up it still looks kinda bad i have to do it back every otther day its soooo annoying. Is there anything to keep it straight and looking good? Help!!!

I have thick hair, and to keep it strait I have to use a really hot iron. Also, keeping hair moisturized will keep it strait. The Paul Mitchell flat irons work really good. Flat iron the hair in sections to get it really strait.
